Fast growing. Particularly ornamental in fall and snowless
winter climates, when the stems look a lavendar color. Also
effective in snowy climes when backdropped by evergreens.

of a group of plugs that was planted in the spring. The other
picture shows the 2 year old plugs after having been coppiced
in the spring.
