Deschampsia cespitosa 'Goldstaub'
- Gold Dust Tufted Hair Grass
D. Goldstaub differs from D. Goldtau in that the foliage
is darker green, and the flowers slightly darker and not
as fine as D. Goldtau. Both are outstanding cultivars with
D. Goldstaub blooming a bit earlier in the spring. Deschampsias
look their best when planted in a mass. They are quick to
mature from plugs, so planting masses of them need not be
expensive and will fill in your landscape much faster than
most other grasses.
